Rates & Policies
H.E.R Counseling is currently in-network with Cigna/Evernorth, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ, Aetna and United Healthcare/Optum. We do not accept Medicaid plans.
This means you will be responsible for the fees at the time of our appointment. Depending on your plan and deductibles you need to meet, a percentage of what you pay for therapy may be paid directly back to you by your insurance company.
To help our clients, at the end of each session a super-bill will be provided to you to send to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We encourage you to call the member services number on the back of your insurance card to find out what your “out-of-network” benefit may be.
Some important questions to ask your health insurance provider are:
Do I have mental health benefits?
What is my individual and/or family deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Session Fees are as follows:
Initial Intake/Assessment (Individual) = $200
This 60-90 min session is used to gather vital information regarding your treatment history, treatment goals, presenting problem and current symptoms. Additionally, you will be asked to complete paperwork, review consent forms and discuss any further questions or concerns you may have prior to entering outpatient treatment.
Initial Intake/Assessment (Family)= $250
This 60-90 min session is used to gather vital information regarding your treatment history, treatment goals, presenting problem and current symptoms. Additionally, you will be asked to complete paperwork, review consent forms and discuss any further questions or concerns you may have prior to entering outpatient treatment.
Follow up sessions = $150 for 50 minutes (individual), $175 for 60 minutes (family)
These sessions are designed to develop your individualized treatment plan, develop strategies to achieving these goals, explore barriers or obstacles that you may face, strengthen your ability to cope with distressing situations and meet other therapeutic needs that may arise. Each individual who enters treatment will receive support, feedback, and psychoeducation in addition to other therapeutic interventions and an individualized tailored treatment plan.
Payment must be made at the beginning or the end of each session. We offer and accept several payment options including accepted insurances, cash, and credit card.
Cancellation Policy:
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy with the exception of emergency situations. If you do not cancel an appointment within 24 hours, or if you are a no-show for any reason, you will be billed the full cost of the session.
If you call and cancel in less than 24 hours, there is a $50 cancellation fee.
